The journey through the northern part of the Albertine trip focuses on Uganda and Western Tanzania diverse landscapes offering gorilla trekking (Bwindi), amazing Lake Tanganyika, and superb wildlife viewing (Katavi) - it is a shorter version of our grand tour but incorporates Rwanda into the itinerary with a chance to get to know its vibrant capital Kigali as well as lakes and wildlife of Akagera National Park. Departure from Sumbawanga is through the internal flight to Dar es Salaam (2 hrs), which has ready international connections.
